1. Spend a day on Lake Conroe
Whether you’re an avid boater or a sunbathe-on-the-beacher, 21,000-acre Lake Conroe offers activities for everyone. Enjoy a day of lakeside fun with family or friends for fishing, boating, paddleboarding or simply relaxing on the shore. And when the sun sets, enjoy the view from one of many lakeside restaurants.
2. Step back in time at the Texas Renaissance Festival
The Texas Renaissance Festival is an iconic event that brings the past to life. (And this one is the nation’s largest.) Every fall, thousands of visitors dress up and immerse themselves in the magic of medieval times with jousting, artisan shops live entertainment and more. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for unique family fun, this is an experience you won’t want to miss.
3. Discover history at Fernland Historical Park
Get a taste of Texas history at Fernland Historical Park. Located in the city of Montgomery, the park features historic log cabins and houses and a glimpse into life in early Texas.
