Round Top Antiques Fair: the Texas treasure hunt you can’t miss
Twice a year, the tiny town of Round Top, Texas, transforms into one of the best antique markets around, drawing designers, collectors and home enthusiasts from around the world. And this spring, the Two Step Farm team is heading there — not just for the thrill of the hunt, but to source one-of-a-kind finds that will bring character to our community spaces.
From vintage farmhouse furniture to rustic décor with a rich Texas story, we’re searching for unique pieces to shape Two Step Hall, the Farm Shop & Café and The Co-op, all planned to open in fall 2025. Picture this: sipping coffee at the Farm Shop & Café from the comfort of a well-loved leather armchair, grabbing a drink at Two Step Hall under a light fixture salvaged from an old barn or working from The Co-op at a long wooden table that once lived in an old general store.
At Two Step Farm, we believe in crafting spaces with soul, history and authenticity. And Round Top is the perfect place to find those finishing touches.
What makes the Round Top Antiques Fair so special?
For more than 50 years, Round Top Antiques Fair has been a must-visit for antique lovers, offering miles of carefully curated booths filled with everything from European antiques to vintage Americana and architectural salvage. It’s not just a market, it’s an experience featuring legendary vendors, open-air shopping and plenty of Texas charm all rolled into one.
Over a two- to three-week stretch each spring and fall, Round Top welcomes more than 2,000 dealers across 100+ venues along a 20-mile stretch of Highway 237. Some spots are highly curated with museum-quality pieces, while others are picking fields where serious treasure hunters can dig for deals. Whether you’re searching for a pristine 18th-century armoire or a rusty, one-of-a-kind relic with a story to tell, Round Top has a little something for everyone.
The market is home to incredible shopping destinations like Marburger Farm Antique Show, known for its high-end, carefully curated collections from 300+ expert dealers, and Blue Hills at Round Top, one of the largest venues, famous for its vast selection of unique finds.
Round Top Shopping Tips: How to Make the Most of Your Trip
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a first-timer, Round Top can be overwhelming (in the best way). Here are a few pro tips to help you navigate like a local:
Bring cash – Many vendors only accept cash, so come prepared. Some venues have ATMs, but they can run out quickly.
Pack the essentials – A measuring tape (for making sure that perfect farmhouse table will fit in your space), water and snacks — lines for food can get long!
Have a plan – Round Top is massive, so decide what you’re looking for ahead of time. Are you hunting for Texas farmhouse pieces, industrial salvage or rare European finds? Mapping out key venues ahead of time helps avoid decision fatigue.
Know when to go –
- Best deals? Visit toward the end of the show—vendors may be more willing to negotiate.
- Best selection? Come early when the biggest venues first open (expect crowds).
- Want fewer crowds? Visit just before the show officially starts or on the last few days.
A note on show dates – The spring and fall shows run for 2-3 weeks with staggered opening dates, meaning not all venues are open at the same time. Be sure to check schedules before you go.
Bringing Round Top’s magic to Two Step Farm
Just like Round Top, Two Step Farm is a place where old and new come together. We believe a home (or a neighborhood) gets its soul from the details — whether that’s a hand-carved end table, a well-worn ottoman or a weathered sign that once hung in a Texas saloon.
As we gather these treasures, we can’t wait to share them with you. Follow along on Instagram to see what we uncover, because a little Round Top charm is about to make itself right at home at Two Step Farm.
